On May 3, sponsored by China-ASEAN Collaborative Innovation Center for Regional Development and Guangxi University, and organized by China-ASEAN Research Institute of GuangxiU niversity and School of Finance of Central University of Finance and Economics,Symposium on China-ASEAN Financial Cooperation & Book Launch for “Structure Features of Financial Development in 10 ASEAN Countries” has been sucessfully held in Beijing. Professor Shi Jianping, Vice-President of Central University of Finance and Economics, Professor FanZuojun, Vice PresidentofGuangxi Universityand Executive Deputy Deanof China-ASEAN Research Institute of Guangxi Universityhave given theopening remarks for the symposium. Professor Shi Jianping pointed out that it has made remarkable achievements in the financial cooperation between China and ASEAN, and in the future, China and ASEAN should foster the cooperation and shield against the potential risks together. Vice President Fan Zuojun appreciated all expertsand scholars that come and support the symposium, and he believed this academic feast is the academia’s expectation for welcoming the new chapter of the financial cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.
It is worth mentioning that the new book “Structure Features of Financial Development in 10 ASEAN Countries”. As the main author of the new book, Professor Li Jian，the Finance School of Central University of Finance and Economics, made a speech. She said, this book is a research funded byChina-ASEAN Collaborative Innovation Center for Regional Development and China-ASEAN Research Institute of Guangxi University, the research team based on in-depth research at each ASEAN countries, get a lot of first-hand information, a comprehensive description of the financial development in ASEAN countries.
Well known scholars from ASEAN countries include Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysiaand Philippines etc., and noted experts from domestic universities, research institutes and financial institutions such as Professor Lin Guijun, Vice-President of the University of International Business and Economics, Professor Li Jianjun, Dean of the School of Finance of Central University of Finance and Economics, Dr. Bian Weihong, Director of the Institute of International Finance of Bank of China, Dr. Chen Daidi, General Manager of the Research Divisionof China Bond Rating Co. Ltd.,and eminent media representatives as such from China Fiance and Studiesof International Finance, China Securities Journal, The Economic Observer, China Social Sciences Journal, Financial TimesandHexunNetwork have all attend the symposium.
